Management Fee

A management fee is the fee that supports a fund’s management and operations, generally charged as a percentage of a base the fund documents specify. It may be based on committed capital during the investment period and on a different base later. Fund expenses can be charged separately from the management fee.

Example: A 2% annual fee on $50 million of committed capital would be $1 million for that year, before any offsets or changes in the fee base.
