Privacy Policy

Joining the waitlist. When you join the waitlist, you share your email address, first name and last name. This is stored in the She Has Leverage database, with the page you joined from, and sent to Kit, the email service used to send waitlist emails, so you can receive a welcome email and updates about the Aligned Capital Program. Kit can record whether you open these emails and which links you click.

What’s Your LP Starting Point? Your answers stay in your browser while you take the assessment and when you save your results. Nothing is sent or stored at those steps. If you choose to join the waitlist from your results, your answers, email address, first name and last name are sent to She Has Leverage and stored in its database. Your email address, first name and last name are sent to Kit, as for any waitlist sign-up, and your Kit subscription is tagged to show you joined from the assessment. Your answers are not sent to Kit.

Contacting She Has Leverage. If you use the contact form, you share your name, email address, what you are reaching out about, and your message. If you are writing about a talk or workshop, a program cohort, or an education partnership, you can also share your organization, your role, the audience or community you serve, and an approximate group size; each of these is optional. This is used to reply to you. Your message and these details are stored in the She Has Leverage database and delivered by email, through Resend, to hello@shehasleverage.com, which Porkbun forwards to the She Has Leverage inbox, hosted by Google (Gmail).

Booking a call. If you ask for a call with Christine, you share your first name, last name and email address, where you are starting (new to venture, accredited or close to it, or already invested in a fund), and, if you choose, what made you curious about venture capital. The site also records the page you came from. This is used to prepare for the call. It is stored in the She Has Leverage database and delivered by email, through Resend, to the She Has Leverage inbox, hosted by Google (Gmail). If you tick the box to join the waitlist, you are added to the waitlist as described above, and your Kit subscription is tagged to show you joined from this form.

Scheduling with Cal.com. After you send the call form, the page loads the booking calendar from Cal.com, with your name and email address filled in. Nothing is loaded from Cal.com before then. When you book a time, Cal.com receives your name, email address, the time you choose, and anything its booking form asks, sends your confirmation, and adds the call to the She Has Leverage calendar, hosted by Google (Google Calendar). Calls take place on Cal Video, Cal.com’s video service. Booking and the call itself are covered by Cal.com’s privacy policy.

Watching the homepage video. The video on the homepage is hosted by YouTube, a Google service. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. When you do, YouTube’s player loads from its privacy-enhanced domain, and YouTube receives standard technical information, such as your IP address, and may set cookies or similar technologies, under Google’s privacy policy.

Signing in as a participant. If you have a participant account, you sign in with your email address through a one-time link sent by email. When you sign in, the site records your email address, your account and enrollment status, and the IP address and browser used for the session, to keep your account secure.

The Accreditation Tracker and the Venture Commitment Explorer run entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter into them is sent to or stored by She Has Leverage.

Bot protection. Forms on the site use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a real person is submitting them. Turnstile processes information about your browser and device to do this, and the site sends Cloudflare your IP address to confirm the result. Cloudflare’s use of that information is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Preventing abuse. To limit repeated or automated submissions, the site stores a scrambled, keyed version of your IP address (and, where relevant, your email address) that cannot be read back as the original. A daily clean-up deletes these records once they are more than a day old, so none is kept longer than about two days.

Hosting. The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical information, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

She Has Leverage uses the information described above to:

• send waitlist emails, including the welcome email and program updates
• reply to messages
• prepare for and hold the calls you book
• provide and secure participant accounts
• protect the site from spam and abuse
• understand, in aggregate, which free tools lead people to join the waitlist

She Has Leverage does not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to make automated decisions about you.

Information is shared only with service providers that help run the site, and only for that purpose:

• Kit, for waitlist emails and program updates
• Neon, which hosts the She Has Leverage database
• Vercel, which hosts the website
• Cloudflare, for bot protection
• Resend, which sends sign-in links and delivers contact form messages and call requests to the She Has Leverage inbox
• Cal.com, which shows the booking calendar after you send the call form, sends booking confirmations, and hosts the calls (Cal Video)
• Google, which hosts the She Has Leverage inbox (Gmail), where contact form messages and call requests arrive, and the She Has Leverage calendar (Google Calendar), where booked calls are added
• Porkbun, which forwards email sent to hello@shehasleverage.com to the She Has Leverage inbox
• YouTube (Google), which plays the homepage video when you press play

She Has Leverage may also disclose information if required by law.

The site sets one cookie, and only when a participant signs in: a secure sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in until you sign out or go 30 days without visiting. Visitors who don’t sign in get no cookies from the site. Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs the bot check on forms, may store a small piece of information in your browser for that check. The site does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers, and it does not track you across other websites. Because of that, the site does not respond differently to Do Not Track signals: there is no cross-site tracking for those signals to turn off. If you press play on the homepage video, YouTube may set its own cookies or similar technologies, as described above. If you open the booking calendar after sending the call form, Cal.com may set its own cookies or similar technologies within the calendar.

• Waitlist information is kept until you ask for it to be deleted. Unsubscribing stops the emails.
• Starting Point answers shared when joining the waitlist are kept with your waitlist record.
• Participant accounts are kept until you ask for yours to be deleted. Expired sign-in sessions and one-time sign-in links are deleted daily.
• Abuse-prevention records are kept no longer than about two days.
• Contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time.
• Call requests are kept as long as needed to arrange and follow up on your call. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time. Bookings are also kept by Cal.com and in the She Has Leverage calendar.

• Unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
• Ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information She Has Leverage holds about you by emailing hello@shehasleverage.com. Requests are answered promptly.

She Has Leverage uses reasonable measures to protect your information, including scrambling IP addresses used for abuse prevention and limiting who can access stored data. No system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

The site is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. She Has Leverage does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

She Has Leverage may update this policy, including after legal review, and will post any changes here with a new “last updated” date.
