I built what I wish I had access to earlier.
She Has Leverage helps women who are financially successful and curious about venture capital understand their options, learn the rules, and find their way in without having to figure it all out on their own.

My story
I wanted a say in who gets funded and what gets built next.
Only 1.1%
of U.S. venture capital dollars went to companies founded entirely by women.
For years I did everything I was supposed to do. I invested in the public markets, maxed out my 401(k), contributed to a backdoor Roth IRA, saved, and built my income. I got good at the parts of money everyone tells you to master, and I assumed that was the whole game.
Then I started paying attention to where capital moves before a company reaches the public market, and how little of it reaches companies founded by women. I wanted my capital to support more of the founders and ideas I believed in.
But first, I needed to understand how individual investors could participate, what was required of them, and how to evaluate a fund. So I learned the rules and became a limited partner myself.
I stopped waiting for permission and started building my own path in.
So I built She Has Leverage The venture education I wish I’d had.
From finding my own way in to building a clearer path for others.

I’m Christine Cornellier, founder of She Has Leverage and a limited partner in venture funds investing in women-led companies and women’s health. I hold an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg and have spent more than a decade working across technology, strategy, internal audit, and sustainability.
I created She Has Leverage after navigating my own path into venture investing and seeing how much of the process is still learned through access, relationships, and proximity.
