A note on fit

This is not the right program for you if you’re looking for fund recommendations, guaranteed returns, or investments you can sell quickly. This program is not designed to teach fund managers how to raise a fund, or founders how to raise their next round.

Your reusable fund evaluation system: the LP Decision Stack

Everything you build in the program, compiled into one decision package you keep and can use on any fund you consider.

The Aligned LP Community

The founding Aligned Capital Program cohort will also launch the Aligned LP Community, a place to continue learning and connecting after the four-week program.

I built this program from my own experience as an LP.

Learning how venture capital worked gave me the confidence to participate.

Here’s an example from the Due Diligence Toolkit, one of the tools you’ll use in the program.

Due Diligence ToolkitInvestor Relations Questionnaire

How does the fund call capital (upfront, quarterly, deal-by-deal)? What is the typical notice period for ?

Why it matters

Some funds ask for your committed money all at once, others in stages. Knowing how and when, and how much notice you’ll get, helps you keep cash ready.

Questions about the program

What does the Aligned Capital Program offer that I won’t get from free articles or webinars?

The Aligned Capital Program gives you an organized curriculum and practical tools for working through a fund decision. Free articles and webinars may be enough for an introduction; the Aligned Capital Program provides the full decision framework you can revisit for any fund. Below are just a few of the tools included:

  • An investment thesis describing what you want your capital to support and the criteria you want to investigate.
  • A Sourcing Tracker for organizing funds and recording what you learn.
  • A Due Diligence Toolkit with questions for managers, founders they have backed, and past LPs.
  • Your Commitment Plan, for examining a commitment alongside your other financial priorities.

Do I need venture experience or accredited investor status to join?

No. The program teaches venture fund investing from the ground up. You don’t need prior venture experience or accredited investor status to participate.

Do I need to be ready to invest?

No. You can join while you’re exploring whether venture belongs in your financial life. Moving forward, waiting, or deciding against an investment can each be an informed outcome.

How much time does the program take?

The cohort runs four weeks, with one 60-minute group session each week, alongside self-guided lessons and practical exercises.

Will you recommend specific funds?

No. The Aligned Capital Program is independent of any fund. You’ll learn a process for finding and evaluating funds, preparing questions for managers, and documenting your decisions. The program provides education not personalized investment advice.

What happens after the program?

You’ll keep the frameworks and tools you’ve built. The founding cohort will also launch the Aligned LP Community for continued learning and connection. Community access details will be shared with the enrollment information.
