Net Worth
Net worth is the value of what you own minus what you owe. For the accredited-investor test, you exclude the value of your primary residence and generally exclude debt secured by it up to its fair market value; special rules apply to recent increases in that debt.
Example: $1.2 million in savings and investments minus $150,000 in other debt leaves $1.05 million, before counting any other assets or liabilities.
